Aérea comes from a lineage of performers, as her parents and grandparents are dancers.

One could say it is in her blood. Ballet and opera have always been her passions and their influence resonates in her work.

The first experiment was lafamiliafeliz, or "the happy family", a band conformed by milton fermat, Fata Kiefer, and Aérea Negrot in 2002. They created club tracks for live performance, including song interludes. The electro-pop track “la disco,” produced in Venezuela, brought “lafamiliafeliz” to international acclaim.

In 2010 Fata and Aérea came together once more, this time in Berlin. Since then they have not only worked together in several clubs around Europe — Fata has also been a great contributor to Aérea Negrot's solo album, "Arabxilla", which will be released in September 2011 by the record label BPitch Control.
